# Where discretion is the product.

Some businesses serve people who notice everything. Their most valuable rules are the ones nobody writes down: what is never said, never sent, never assumed. A generic agent breaks those rules on day one. Here is what we would write for each.

Illustrative. The rules below show the kind of thing we write. They are not quotes from clients.

Property

## Prime real estate

Brokerages, developers and buying agents at the top of the market.

**Where the knowledge lives:** In the senior agent's head: which buyers see off-market stock, how to qualify a buyer without ever asking about money, which sellers must never be named, when a viewing needs the owner away.

**What a generic agent gets wrong:** Answers a portal enquiry with the price, the address and three photos of the bedroom. Treats every enquiry as a lead. Sends the brochure to someone nobody has met.

**A rule we'd write**

skills/enquiries/SKILL.md · rules

- Off-market listings are never described in writing to a buyer who has not been verified by a partner.
- The seller is "the owner". Never a name, never a company, never a hint.
- First reply offers a call, not a brochure.

**Where we'd start:** **Audit** of enquiry handling and viewing logistics, then **Readable**: listings that a buyer's agent can query, with discretion levels the agent respects.

Finance

## Wealth management and private banking

Relationship teams, independent advisers, multi-family offices.

**Where the knowledge lives:** With relationship managers who know which client wants a call, which wants a one-line email, which phrases compliance has already struck out, and what must never be put in writing.

**What a generic agent gets wrong:** Drafts a cheerful market update that implies a return. Writes the same note to a founder and a widow. Summarises a meeting into a document that should not exist.

**A rule we'd write**

skills/client-notes/SKILL.md · rules

- Never state or imply a return. Performance questions go to the relationship manager.
- Meeting notes record decisions and next steps. Not opinions about family members.
- Every draft to a client is held for review.

**Where we'd start:** **Audit** of meeting preparation and client reporting. **Review** comes early here: in a regulated business the default is that nothing goes out unread.

Family

## Family offices

Single-family offices and the chiefs of staff who run them.

**Where the knowledge lives:** With the chief of staff: who in the family may ask for what, which vendors are trusted, how travel, households and staff are actually run, and the history behind every exception.

**What a generic agent gets wrong:** Treats a request from a nephew like one from the principal. Books the usual hotel when the family stopped using it last year. Copies the wrong people on a thread.

**A rule we'd write**

skills/requests/SKILL.md · rules

- Requests from anyone other than the principal are confirmed with the chief of staff before action.
- Household staff are addressed by first name; vendors never are.
- No thread includes more than one household.

**Where we'd start:** **Foundry** for the office's operating rules, written with the chief of staff, then **Review** so the principal's requests are the only ones that move without a check.

Principals

## Positioning

Founders, investors and principals whose name is part of the asset.

**Where the knowledge lives:** In how the principal actually sounds, the topics they will not touch, the people they never name, and the two or three ideas they want to be known for. Mostly unwritten, and held by whoever drafts for them.

**What a generic agent gets wrong:** Writes in the voice of every post on every feed. Mentions a portfolio company's numbers before they are public. And when someone asks an assistant about the principal, the answer is a stale profile and someone else's quote.

**A rule we'd write**

skills/voice/SKILL.md · rules

- Short sentences. No exclamation marks. No "excited to announce".
- Never reference a portfolio company's numbers before they are public.
- Nothing is published without the principal's yes.

**Where we'd start:** **Foundry**: a voice skill and a positioning brief, tested against the principal's own best writing. Then **Readable**: what AI assistants say when someone asks about you, checked monthly, with the public record they read made accurate and current.

Movement

## Private aviation and yachting

Charter brokers, operators and crew management.

**Where the knowledge lives:** With brokers and crew: which client always wants the same tail and crew, what is possible at which airport or marina at which hour, and what must never be passed to a third-party handler.

**What a generic agent gets wrong:** Forwards the passenger list to the handling agent in full. Quotes an aircraft that cannot use the requested field. Confirms availability it does not have.

**A rule we'd write**

skills/trip-requests/SKILL.md · rules

- Passenger names and catering notes never appear in messages to third-party handlers.
- Availability is confirmed by a person before it is offered to a client.

**Where we'd start:** **Audit** of trip requests and handling messages. **Readable** later: availability a client's assistant, or the assistant's agent, can query without a phone call.

Hospitality

## Hospitality and private travel

Boutique hotels, villa rentals, travel designers and concierge services.

**Where the knowledge lives:** With the people who remember the guest: the pillow, the corner table, the anniversary nobody mentions, the house rule that bends for one family and not another.

**What a generic agent gets wrong:** Announces what it knows ("we see you prefer a sea view"). Upsells the spa to a guest who has asked to be left alone. Answers the special request with a link to the FAQ.

**A rule we'd write**

skills/guest-messages/SKILL.md · rules

- A returning guest's preferences are applied, never mentioned.
- No offer is sent to a guest who has asked for privacy on this stay.

**Where we'd start:** **Foundry** for guest communication with the head concierge as author, then **Readable**, so a guest's travel agent can book the room and the request together.

Collections

## Art and collectibles

Advisers, galleries, auction specialists and collection managers.

**Where the knowledge lives:** With specialists who know which collector is offered what first, how to talk about a work without stating a value, and when a question about provenance needs a document rather than an answer.

**What a generic agent gets wrong:** Puts an estimate in an email. Offers the same work to two collectors in the wrong order. Answers a provenance question from the internet.

**A rule we'd write**

skills/collector-enquiries/SKILL.md · rules

- Never state a value in writing. Attach the appraiser's report or offer a call.
- Provenance questions get a document, not an answer.

**Where we'd start:** **Audit** of enquiries and collection records, then **Foundry** for the offer order and the language of value.

Counsel

## Private legal and estate planning

Private client practices, trust and estate lawyers, fiduciaries.

**Where the knowledge lives:** With partners who know who is named on which engagement, what may be confirmed to whom, how a sensitive family matter is worded, and which documents are never drafted without a call first.

**What a generic agent gets wrong:** Confirms to a caller that the firm acts for a client. Drafts a letter that is technically correct and personally devastating. Files a note in the wrong family's matter.

**A rule we'd write**

skills/intake/SKILL.md · rules

- Nothing about a client's affairs is confirmed to anyone not named in the engagement letter.
- Drafts that mention a death, a divorce or a dispute are held for a partner.

**Where we'd start:** **Review** policy first, because in this practice the held queue is the product. Then **Foundry** for intake and correspondence.

Also: private clinics, admissions advisory, luxury retail, security and protective services. The method is the same everywhere; the rules are yours.

## How we handle what we learn.

- **An NDA before the audit.**Signed before the first interview, not after the first invoice.
- **Your accounts, your data.**Skills and evals live in your repository and run in your agent product, under your account. We do not keep copies after handover.
- **Examples are redacted at the source.**Names, amounts and addresses are replaced before anything reaches a model, and the eval sets are built from the redacted versions.
- **No case studies without consent.**We never name a client, describe their rules, or show their work unless they ask us to in writing.
- **A person on every public word.**Anything published in a principal's name, or sent to their clients, has a human yes in the review policy.

## Don't see your field?

If your people know things your documents don't, the method fits. Tell us the task on the call, and the one rule an agent would break first.
